We are starting final preparations for our event this summer. The initial scare that the omicron gave us has now presented a little clearer picture. Norway lifted a lot (most) of restrictions last Tuesday*, and we also expect the 1-meter rule to be abandoned very shortly. Experience from last summer also indicates things will be better from the spring on, and we feel confident about ECGC 2022!
We have done our best to organize this event within the cost of our (adjusted) offer. The registered number is about half the number of participants that we budgeted for (before covid), so we`ve cancelled one golf course (as mentioned), but it also means shared costs are twice of what we budgeted. We`ll do a final assessment once we have passed 2nd payment, but we hope we can stick to our original plan. (We will not collect more money after the 2nd payment, but adjust accordingly.)
These shared costs (about 1/3 of your cost) will not be refunded after the 2nd payment, as that would mean the ones coming would have to pay more (which would be unfair to them). The rest (about 2/3 of your cost) will be refunded for cancellations before 25th of March. After that the general rule is no refund, but people that are restricted from travelling due covid will be handled individually. We have not budgeted for this, so the maximum that you can expect to get refunded is the cost of the hotel room.

Registration for 2022 is now open!
ECGC 2022 in Stavanger is now open for registration.
The confirmed dates are 30.5-3.6 2022 and the event is in line with the plans made for 2021 (See presentation).
We understand there is still some uncertainty when it comes to 2022 and covid, but we are hoping for the best and planning the event for next year.
Due to the postponement and renegotiations the prices are now:
Players: 7175 NOK (Norwegian Kroner)
Non-players: 5650 NOK
Single room supplement: 2050 NOK
First payment: 4000 NOK 15. September 2021
Second payment, full balance: 15. January 2022

We, as OC, do not have any insurance related to late cancellation, e.g. new covid outbreaks or travel restrictions etc related to this. This must be covered by the participants themselves, if deemed needed. We will do our best to refund, parts or the whole amount, but we cannot guarantee any refunds after the second payment (15. January). We will of course assess the situation around this time, and together with the EC, decide if we continue as planned.
Players needing golf carts need to bring medical proof, as we may have a limited number.
Players with this need may have to share carts.
Trolleys are subject to availability at the clubs.
We will use Golfbox to register scores etc. This is the same the Norwegian Golf Federation uses for tee times, scoring and handicap adjustments. We need to create profiles on everyone, so please make sure you fill in all the details in the registration (even those who already have a profile).
Regarding the Friday hike, mentioned on page 12 https://ecgc.golf/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Stavanger_2021.pdf we would only like an indication of interest now.
